Today was an exciting day. We went evangelizing in a park in Quito. It was amazing to see God work in the lives of the people there! We talked to two teenagers, a boy and a girl. They didn't know who Jesus was so we shared the gospel with them and shared with them about how Jesus had come to die for their sins. We asked them if they wanted to receive Christ but they had to leave to go to their high school so we left them with a tract. We also talked with an older man for about 20 minutes at least. We shared with him about who Jesus is and how He died on the cross for our sins. We talked to him about how it is important to have faith and that Jesus, being God, is the only one who can die for our sins. He said he needed to believe but that it was hard for him to believe. He had a lot of questions so we got his contact information and are planning to visit him with the pastor of a church near him.
We were almost done when we decided to climb up this hill at the park. We didn't end up doing it but instead decided to talk to a couple of young boys. We shared the gospel with them and gave them some tracts. After that a couple of young teenage boys came up and we shared with them also. We showed them an evangecube and shared the gospel with them. We told them how Jesus died for our sins and asked them if they had ever prayed to ask Jesus to forgive them of their sins. They said they hadn't. I asked them if they would like to do that and they said that they would! I told them that it was an important decision and that they would need to follow Christ their whole life. I asked them if they still would like to do that and they said they would! After that I was able to lead them in a prayer to receive Christ! We gave them a tract and told them they could share it with their family if they wanted to. We are also going to stay in contact with them and try to get them involved in a church or in Vacation Bible School or other similar activities. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness! There is no greater joy than being able to see people turn from death to life!
