Unexpected beginnings-May 31st-June 1st, 2013

I planned on arriving at the airport in Ecuador at about 10 at night but things didn't go exactly the way I planned.  After we boarded in Miami to fly to Quito they told us they had to wait for a part for the plane.  We ended up waiting in the plane for about an hour before they let us go back inside the airport and wait.  We boarded the plane for Quito at about 8 Quito time.  We arrived at the airport in Quito at about 1am and I arrived at the place where I was staying at about 3am.  A lot of being a missionary is about being flexible so maybe this is an area that God is continuing to work on in my life!  On Saturday morning I went with Ron to help out with a children's mission at Los Marias.  They were having children's day so we were having a party for them.  We played games with them and listened to music.  They also went over John 3:16 with them and handed out candy and tracts to them.  We are hoping through ministering to the children we will be able to connect with the parents.  We haven't been able to really connect with them yet, but God is faithful so I know that it will happen!

                               They have KFC in Quito! It's not the same as in America though.

                  They also have Subway in Quito! I haven't been there yet but I think it is the same mostly.
