June 2nd, 2013

On Saturday night we had a Bible Study at Ron's house.  It was entirely in Spanish, but I was surprised at what I could understand!  He talked about Proverbs 31 and compared it with Luke 8:27-28.  He was saying that it was not just for ninos y esposa solamente para es for the whole family.  He also talked about the importance of the community or communidad en Espanol.

On Sunday morning I went to Patrico's church at his house.  It was children's day in Ecaudor that weekend so we played songs and video clips for the children.  I also played a special for them on my saxophone.  After church I went with Ron's sister-in-law to get lunch because they had fried pork to eat at the church which wasn't safe to eat.  In the afternoon I went to a graduation and heard a Quichua choir sing.  It went from about 3pm to about 6 or 7pm.  We were supposed to have a team come in my first week but again plans changed and they had a snowstorm and were not able to come in.  Ron told me that I was going to go to an elementary school on Monday and Tuesday and play games with them to teach them English.  He also said that Patricio asked  me to bring my saxophone.
