Today I went to an elementary school to help with the
children. Patricio was telling me that this school was one of the first
projects that my pastor, Pastor Phil Calvert helped sponsor. What a
privilege and blessing to be able to be a part of this work and to see how it
is still going strong! To see how much the children knew about Jesus and
how much they loved Him was such a blessing! The children were all really
cute. One of the boys in the first class we worked with really liked me.
We played games with the children and helped them learn English. We
played Simon says and duck duck goose. I also played my saxophone for
them. They were amazed at my saxophone and couldn't stop looking at
it.
For the first group I played the song Jesus Loves Me on my saxophone while they sang in both Spanish and English. I asked them who Jesus was and they knew exactly who He was! I asked them who Mary was and they said the mother of Jesus. They were all speaking at once. They were so excited about answering who Jesus was. They said he was God and that He died on the cross or "el cruz en espanol". It was fun playing games with them, trying to talk to them in Spanish, and teaching them English. When we left they all were saying, "ciao, Lisa". After we left, we looked at the views, and drove down the mountain. We went and ate lunch and then bought some drinks and snacks. I bought some Ecuadorian chocolate, Coconut cookies, and some drinks.
Some of the children at the Elementary School that I was helping at. This was the first day.

Praise the Lord! May the Lord bless your harvest!
